It’s hard to imagine a time without spending hours of your day binge-watching your favorite series on Netflix. Since Netflix was released in 1997, in 2020 there are now over 180 million people who have subscribed, making Netflix one of the largest entertainment platforms in the world. But out of the many series that Netflix has to offer, which ones are actually worth investing your time into? WAGlife has recommended 10 series that we believe are well worth the binge-watching hours.
Number 10: Orange is the New Black
Orange is the New Black first came onto Netflix in 2013, where the main character Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), is placed in a minimum-security prison following her past. Number 9: The Last Dance
The 10 part documentary takes you through the life of what made the Chicago Bulls one of the greatest basketball teams of all time. Although, the series is not all about basketball and more so follows the behind the scenes story of the team, and the true meaning of how success is earned. The show also covers the motivational spirit that made Micheal Jordan, who is arguably the best NBA player ever.
Number 8: Too Hot To Handle
Similar to the popular show Love Island, Too Hot To Handle is a dating program where single people try to build a meaningful relationship. However, with the twist of a zero sex policy, will the islanders be able to build relationships from an emotional connection perspective only. The winners of the show have the potential to win £100,000.00 but this depends on how many ‘mistakes’ happen.
Number 7: Stranger Things
Stranger Things, set in the 1980s follows a group that experiences a change in life in their hometown of Hawkins. The normal way of life changes when supernatural forces start to show. The first season starts off with the disappearance of a young boy and the appearance of a young girl with psychokinetic abilities. Will the destruction of normal life pull the gang apart in defeat?

In this complex, action-packed series, Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) is the designated survivor who comes into power following a brutal attack on the government. It is down to Kirkman to build a government back from the foundations, whilst trying to locate the terrorists, and most importantly be the President of the United States of America.
Number 5: Dead to Me
The series follows the life of Jen (Christina Applegate) who has recently experienced her husband’s fatal death from a hit and run car accident. Jen takes it on herself to investigate the incident alongside Judy (Linda Cardellini) who has also recently ‘lost’ her husband. However, the dark comedy takes a turn when Jen starts to see secretes coming out of hiding that her husband’s death was not as it first seemed, and in fact was a lot closer to home.
Number 4: The Stranger
What would happen to you if your darkest secrets were revealed to the world and shared with the closest people in your life? In this dark mysterious series, Adam Price (Richard Armitage) is told all of his wife’s darkest secrets. When Adams’s wife disappears, he is not going to stop until he finds her and uncovers the true horror that could be lying beneath. Expect a thrilling storyline with many cliff hangers and surprises throughout.
